Job Profile: CFO (Chief Financial Officer)
S&A Law Offices, LLP is currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our growing team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for taking on a leadership role in financial decision-making that affects our firm and will provide strategic input to senior management. While keenly overseeing the overall accounting process, billing, and realization, the CFO will play a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of our firm. Along with the same, internal audit-related procedures and tax-related compliances will also be governed by the CFO.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred). Preference will be given to candidates with an MBA in Finance or who are qualified chartered accountants.
- 15+ years’ experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in a law firm or an organization with more than 200 professionals.
- Well versed in accounting tools, audit policies, and tax compliances.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Results-oriented strategic thinker and planner.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage financial controls and accounting procedures.
- Maintain speed and accuracy of billings and client payments.
- Provide advice on how to reduce costs.
- Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner.
- Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained.
- Support Senior Management with the preparation of monthly and annual financial plans.
- Report to Senior Partners for the management and control of overall financial and strategy matters, as well as to Management on cost-control exercises and corrective measures.
- Prepare MIS reports, cash flows, budgets, annual operating plans, variances, annual and monthly financial statements, and monthly book closures.
- Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors for external and internal reporting, as well as adherence to corporate and taxation laws and compliances.
- Drive finalization of monthly, quarterly, and yearly balance sheets and lead the budget-planning process.
- Oversee audit and tax compliances.

- Should have participated in, assisted with, or handled cross-examinations, including briefing senior counsel.
- Undertake research work, including case-law and technical research.

- Minimum 7+ years of experience.

Responsibilities Assumed:
